Welcome to Kenton County District Civil/Probate Court.  District civil includes: civil cases up to $5,000.00, small claims (click here), and evictions (click here).  Probate court includes: estates, guardianships of minors (click here) and name changes (click here). For information on Probate (click here).  Confidential cases include involuntary hospitalization (click here), guardianship/disability of adults (click here) and Casey’s Law (involuntary alcohol/drug treatment)(click here).

Services include:

  • Processing complaints, petitions and case filings
  • Collecting filing fees and court costs
  • Scheduling and/or confirming hearing dates, times and court rooms (if permitted)
  • Fulfilling copy requests (files and audio/video)

Special tips:

  • Have proper photo identification
  • Sign AOC forms when in the presence of a deputy clerk (unless previously notarized by outside notary)
  • Payment can be made by cash, checks made payable to John C. Middleton, Kenton Circuit Clerk (with proper identification) or debit/credit card (with proper identification/ additional processing fee to card processor applies);
