- The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet has taken over all Driver’s License functions, pursuant to statute. They are now issuing licenses and ID’s (including the Real ID license) at both of our former locations in Covington and Independence. The Circuit Clerk’s office no longer has control over these offices.
