Per the law (KRS 189.999) if you were cited while under the age of 18 for any traffic violation, you are required to attend court with a parent or guardian. No proof or payment can be accepted by our office prior to your court date.
- Acceptable payment methods include:
- cash;
- money order;
- personal check (with a photo ID and as long as there was no prior failure to appear on the case);
- cashier’s check;
- debit card ($2 fee if pin is entered); and/or
- credit card ($6 fee) with proper ID/ phone transaction must be completed by card holder.
- Pay eligible Court costs, Fines and/or Restitution

- Pre-payable citations can be paid:
- online- partial or in full- (at least 2 business days prior to court date) at ePay on the Court of Justice website,
- in full only, by phone prior to 8:15am on date of court, with a credit card (by card holder) by calling 859-292-6523;
- in full only, via mail, mailed to Kenton Circuit Clerk’s Office 230 Madison Ave, Covington, KY 41011. (If you would like a receipt please include a self addressed stamped envelope with your payment); or
- in full only, prior to 8:15 am on the day of court, in person at the Kenton Circuit Clerk’s Office 230 Madison Avenue 3rd Floor, Covington, KY 41011.
- If you were cited for a charge that requires proof to be shown (insurance, registration, license, etc.) you may:
- email the proof to kentonproof@kycourts.net (at least 3 days prior to your court date);
- fax the proof to 859-292-6611; or
- bring in person to the Kenton Circuit Clerk’s Office 230 Madison Avenue, Covington, KY 41011 .
- Please include a copy of your citation with the documentation. Once you have faxed your documentation, please contact our office at 895-292-6523 to verify we received your information and that the documents are satisfactory. If you email your documentation, you will receive an emailed response from our office within 2 business days. If you do not receive a response, please contact our office.
- If a payment is invalid: the payment will be voided, the charges reinstated and a warrant may be issued for your arrest.
